Metropolis of Toledo | Free Disposal Day at Hoffman Highway Landfill and Free…

The next Hoffman Road Landfill Free Disposal Day and the next Engage Toledo Drop Off Refuse and Recycling event are both this Saturday, July 10th.

The Hoffman Road landfill is available to city residents for free disposal on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The other free landfill days this year are August 7th, September 11th, October 23rd and November 27th.

Toledo residents are permitted to bring a truck or trailer load of bulky waste to the 3962 Hoffman Rd landfill free of charge, subject to conditions. Proof of residence in Toledo is required. Permitted bulky waste includes rubbish, furniture, carpets, mattresses, wood waste and scrap metal. No commercial waste or tugs are allowed. A list of the materials that are not accepted on free dump days and are not accepted for a fee can be found at this link. The free Engage Toledo Drop Off Refuse and Recycling event will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Keyser Elementary, 3900 Hill Ave.

Accepted items include e-waste; Televisions and CRT monitors; up to 10 tires, on or next to the rim, but not commercially available tires; Documents; Dress; Toys; Bulky items and garbage. Latex paint is accepted for $ 1 per gallon. Large devices are not accepted. There will be visibly marked lanes for the flow of traffic, as well as volunteers in recognizable clothing to help participants find suitable locations. Residents should follow all signs and directions.

• 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. August 7 at DeVeaux School, 2620 West Sylvania Ave.
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 14 at Woodward High School, 701 East Central Ave.
• 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Aug 21, Longfellow Elementary, 1955 West Laskey Rd.
• 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. August 28 at Bowsher High School, 2200 Arlington Ave.
• 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., September 11th at Good Shepherd Church, 3934 West Laskey Rd.
• 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, September 18, Burroughs Elementary, 2420 South Ave.
• 9 am-1pm, 25.9. in Detwiler Park, 4001 North Summit St.
