CLEVELAND – Cleveland’s Wade Park School hosted a Beautification Day Saturday in partnership with the Cleveland Police Department and the Cleveland Police Foundation.
The police donated the flowers and plants to the school.
School principals said the event exemplifies the importance of students and officials having positive, healthy relationships within the community.
“These events are really important because they start the conversation that can lead to a relationship. That’s why our children at such events from time to time see the Cleveland Police in their school,” said Dr. Lee Buddy Jr., Headmaster of Wade Park School. “They interact, they speak, and for them the police just show it in a different light than some of them might see.”
Students, parents and officials worked together on Saturday to plant the flowers around campus. They bonded and beautified the school.
