St. Patrick’s Day may be over, but you can continue the party this weekend at 419.

TOLEDO, Ohio – March is blowing right past us. So make yourself comfortable and enjoy this weekend in the 419.


Classic movie night | Hancock Historical Museum | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Move the movie night on Friday from your couch to the Hancock Historical Museum. The museum hosts socially distant classic movie nights and the movie they’ll be showing this time is “Top Hat” with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

This is FREE and popcorn and refreshments are provided. Before and after the film you will have the opportunity to discuss historical information. Call 419-423-4433 to reserve a seat.


BG flea market | Wood County Fairgrounds | 9 a.m. – Sunday 3 p.m.

If you love looking for hidden gems then head to Bowling Green for their flea market this weekend. Hundreds of tables are set up in two buildings so you won’t be short of goods to check out.

Depending on the weather, there are free parking spaces and tickets as well as possible outdoor providers.

2021 St. Paddy’s Day 5 km run / walk | Downtown Tiffin | 10 a.m. – noon

Grab your green robe and run downtown Tiffin on Saturday! The 6th annual 3 mile run / walk on St. Paddy’s Day begins at 10 a.m. at Calvert High School. You have to register in advance and collect your T-shirts as there is no check-in on the day of. You also have the option to run the race virtually, which means you sign up and run in your own time.

Toledo Fine Art Fair | SeaGate Convention Center | 11 a.m. – Sunday 2 p.m.

Art lovers, downtown Glass City is for YOU this weekend. At the SeaGate Convention Center, on Saturday and Sunday, you can purchase some amazing artwork in a variety of media such as sculpture, photography, jewelry, and more!

Teddy Bear Care Fair | Toledo Zoo | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Does your child’s favorite teddy need a little TLC? On Saturday, Toledo Zoo is hosting a teddy bear care fair to fix your stuffed bears and get the chance to meet real bears!

TOPS Shamrock Scavenger Hunt | Olander Park | Noon – 2 p.m.

Spend the first day of spring outdoors in Olander Park. On Saturday you can go out and take part in the Shamrock Scavenger Hunt. Check in at the veranda of the Nederhouser Community Hall between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. and receive all the pointers to find 10 leaf clovers throughout the park. Find them all and return to the hall for a golden prize. Everyone receives a good bag of chocolate as well as free swimming and boat passes.

St. Patrick’s Day Party | The Kelley’s Island Wine Co. | 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.

You might not have partied as much as you wanted for St Paddy’s Day this year since it was mid-week, but you still have the chance to try this green beer! Hop on the ferry to Kelley’s Island, where the party takes place all day. The Wine Co. will serve much of the green beer we love for this vacation and their famous Reuben Pizza.

Expect a fun day out on St. Paddy’s Day with a variety of party favors, pull tabs, and all that is green.

Easter egg hunt | YMCA Toledo | 3 pm

Our next big holiday is Easter and your kids can start the celebrations early! Members of the YMCA, this fun Easter egg hunt is FREE for you and also has various craft activities, prizes and of course CANDY.

Kayak Rescues Pool Class | Rec Center of the University of Toledo | 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Summer is starting soon and I am sure you will want to spend a lot of it outdoors! If you are looking to kayak this summer, learning some safety skills and building your confidence can be helpful. This workshop at UT will help you with that. The American Canoe Association’s certified instructors at Metroparks Toledo will guide you through all the basics in a safe environment.

Handicrafts | Maumee Bay Brewing Co. | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

On Sundays, things get a little smart at Maumee Bay Brewing Co. If you love craft beer and crafts, you can get a sneak peek of both with their very first craft show. Browse tons of locally made goods and of course have a beer while you’re there. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is your perfect opportunity to find something for mom.

Virtual public glass blowing demonstration | Virtual | time

See this incredible medium in action live and virtually this weekend. You may not get to see it in person, but you can still see glassworks being created at the art museum while you are at home.
