Cleveland Hillel will hold the Shabbat with Survivors on March 19 at 5:30 pm.
The aim of the event is to involve Jewish and non-Jewish students in intimate conversations with Holocaust survivors and to hear their stories. Each survivor hosted on Zoom will be paired with a limited group of students in a Zoom breakout room, giving students the opportunity to answer questions and chat face-to-face with each survivor. Each participating student will also receive a GrubHub gift card for their Shabbat dinner.
The program is partnered with Hillel @ Home to host and promote the event to students across the country, as well as the result of a partnership / scholarship award from the Saltzman Youth Panel of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
