TOLEDO, Ohio – A man from downtown Toledo faces charges after police allege he spat on an officer while in custody.

Christopher Wyatt, 45, was arrested Wednesday and charged with grave threat after threatening to kill several Unison employees. Court documents say Wyatt also threatened to return to the building with a gun to kill employees inside.

While handcuffed and in a Toledo police vehicle, an officer says Wyatt spat at her through the bulkhead. Wyatt was then charged with molestation by an inmate.

Wyatt refused to attend his trial on Thursday. His case will continue through Friday.
