Two despatched to hospital after crash involving Toledo water division truck

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two people were rushed to the hospital after a person crashed into a truck from the Toledo City Water Department Thursday morning.

Water workers were working in the right lane from Arlington east near W. Medical Loop when Toledo police said Norman Manning ran into the rear of a water department truck. The impact knocked a water department employee on the ground and pushed the truck into another water department truck.

Manning and water officer Robert Townsend were both rushed to hospital with unknown injuries.

The EPA called in on the spot about a diesel fuel leak from one of the trucks.
