Toledo Baseball Chris Myers Chosen as MAC Participant of the 12 months

Myers is the first ever winner in the history of the program. He won the MAC Triple Crown with a batting average of .378, 15 homers and 55 RBIs.

On Wednesday, Chris Myers was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year by the University of Toledo Baseball Club.

Received the same award for the first time in the history of the program.

Myers won the MAC Triple Crown with 15 home runs, a school record, a batting average of 0.378 and a batting average of 55 RBIs. He is the league’s first triple crown winner since 1998.

He also led the conference with slugging percent (0.739) and doubles (18), taking second place with the on-base percentage (0.509) and third with the run score (50).

Myers ended the season 11th behind in Japan and a percentage of 16.

“Chris Myers deserves to be named MAC Player of the Year and Team 1 All MAC,” said head coach Rob Reinstetle. “No other batter was more feared and dangerous at the conference than Chris.”

“Winning a Triple Crown is a special achievement for batterers of all skill levels and he had a really great year,” said Reinsterl. “I want to get lost in all of my statistics and my honor. What is not is the fact that Chris is a top student and a person. I am very happy to be able to coach him every day and to be around him. He makes everyone around him better. He praised me and that’s the best praise a player can get. “
