Counting Crows postponed Tuesday night’s concert at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater after a COVID-19 case was confirmed in the group’s tour party.
The group announced on Sunday after canceling their performance in Boston that evening.
In a Facebook post, the band said they were postponing the two concerts “out of caution”.
“We are working quickly to find new dates for these shows,” says the article. “Save your tickets as they will be honored for the new dates as soon as they are announced. The entire band and crew have been vaccinated and have taken great precautions to be as safe as possible. “
Counting Crows was founded in California in 1991 under the direction of Adam Duritz on vocals. The group was nominated for two Grammy Awards and an Oscar.
It was the second concert this week in northeast Ohio to be hit by COVID. Lynyrd Skynyrd has withdrawn from Monday’s concert for Legends at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton after guitarist Rickey Medlocke tested positive for COVID.
The 4,800-seat Youngstown Amphitheater is located on 2021 S. Phelps St. in 20-acre Wean Park near the Mahoning River. It opened in 2019 but had to cancel the concert season last summer due to the pandemic.
