TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo man was arrested after crashing into a stopped police car on the expressway on Sunday.
According to police files, 23-year-old Malik Hampton was arrested for driving a vehicle and handing in weapons while drunk.
TPD was stopped on I-75 South in Miami in a car accident and traffic was diverted to the left lane. Police said Hampton did not pull into the left lane and hit a police car, which disabled both vehicles.
No one was injured in the incident, but the lanes to the south were closed for about two hours.
The officers searched Hampton’s car and found a loaded gun. The police investigation led officials to charge Hampton with OVI and guns.
