LIME CITY – A 6 month old boy who was reportedly taken from his out-of-custody mother was found Tuesday night.

Toledo Police Department officials found the vehicle listed on the Perrysburg Police Department information sheet at around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Nina Roberts was taken into custody and the child was brought to safety. This took place on the 2800 block of Chase Street.

Roberts was turned over to Perrysburg Township officials and sent to Wood County Jail for disrupting custody and unsupporting. The baby is being cared for by Wood County Children Services.

“It’s another example of law enforcement agencies working together to get the job done. The Toledo Police Department located the vehicle because they were made aware of the situation and the officers recognized it. The child is safe in the care of the child protection services. The mother is in custody, “Perrysburg Township Det. Sgt. Todd Curtis said.

Perrysburg parish police asked to help locate the baby who was with Roberts at 6 p.m. on Monday. Roberts, who was not allowed to have the child, started with the infant in a black Pontiac G6 from 2005, according to police.
