Juvenile Shot Whereas Enjoying With Gun In Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH – A youth was injured while playing with a gun on Saturday, Cleveland Heights police said.

Two teenagers were in a house on Beverly Road on Saturday night. They found a gun and were playing with it when it fired and one of the teenagers was shot.

Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg said the injury was not life threatening.

The incident sparked concern and speculation on social media. Residents began to publish theories that there was an attempted robbery in which the teenager was shot. Mecklenburg said there was no robbery.
