TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo Police are looking for the driver who crashed into an apartment in north Toledo and escaped from the scene early Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 1 a.m. in Block 700 on Bush St. near Ontario.
A driver crashed into a lower apartment, fled the scene and left a gaping hole in the building.
The front bumper of a Chevy was left in the wreckage.
The building, which houses six apartments, was cut off from the electricity. Everyone was allowed to stay in their apartments, but a building inspector was called to the scene to see whether the apartment that was hit was structurally sound.
The Red Cross was called in to help the residents.
