Ohio is in Glass City this weekend for a four-game series against Toledo. The Rockets had a miserable year (4-17, 2-6 MAC) but that might, in part, help them play all of their games on the street. Ohio (9-9, 3-5 MAC) will be the first guest at Scott Park this season, and the Bobcats are hoping to add a downer to Toledo’s home opening.

After the Bobcats had a two game lead over Central Michigan, they dropped their last two games against the Chippewas with a combined score of 26-5. The Rockets almost got Ball State to extra innings but fell 8-7 against the Cardinals after Noah Navarro walked from the home run.

The matchup on Friday will be one of the best matchups of the season between batter and pitcher, if not the best. In the blue corner is Joe Rock of Ohio, who leads the MAC in ERA (0.90) and has beaten 44 batters this season. In the red corner is the current MAC homerun leader Chris Meyers, who leads the conference with seven homers and at the same time competes in an impressive 23-game race on the base track.
