Four tenants have rented space on 667 Columbus Avenue – part of the new retail corridor at the base of a residential building on 93rd Street (the one for the last several years).
Bizjournals.com has confirmed that the following companies will open at the location:
Orangetheory Fitness will open a 3,600 studio. This will be the fitness company’s second location in the Upper West Side. a studio at 120 West 72nd Street Opened in early 2019.
Coffee Place Peaky Barista has also secured a second location in the neighborhood. The first place opened in September 2019 on 2680 Broadway, between 102nd and 103rd Streets.
Cleanlab Cleaners, a dry cleaning company, also rented space at the new location. You will be relocating from a location at 230 West 79th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam.
And Morningside PlayCare, an early childhood education center, has rented 3,000 square feet. They have a different location at 501 West 123rd Street.
According to Biz Journals, listing brokers – David LaPierre and Kristen Crossman of CBRE – have two remaining retail spaces on the site that are 2,900 and 3,150 square feet, respectively.
The architect of the 15,000 square foot retail project, Beyer Blinder Belle, States on its website that “The building was originally set back from the street wall, which resulted in uncomfortable and underutilized outdoor areas. A double-height, transparent, undulating design for retail creates a modern and inviting presence on the street wall, enhances the pedestrian experience and generates 15,000 SF of salable retail space on Columbus Avenue. “

The company continues: “The project also includes a repositioned entrance hall for residential buildings, landscaped outdoor terraces for residents, a children’s playground and other amenities.”
The developer Stellar Management had originally aimed for a completion date for 2018.
