We’ll see sunshine, we’ll see rain: Cleveland, Akron climate forecast

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Hot weather will begin in northeast Ohio this week, but milder conditions will arrive towards the end of the week. Until then, the region will experience a mixture of sunshine, showers and thunderstorms.

On Monday the highs in Cleveland will hit the 80s and Akron will hit the 90s, with lots of sunshine. The good news is that while the day starts humid, the air dries out in the late afternoon, so humidity shouldn’t be an issue. The drier air will pay off overnight as the lows drop with clear skies by the mid-1960s.

Tuesday will bring similar conditions, with highs in the upper 80s in both Cleveland and Akron and mostly sunny skies. There is a small chance of showers in the Cleveland area after 3:00 PM. The likelihood of showers and thunderstorms will persist overnight in the Cleveland area, with lows in the mid-1960s. Akron will have a slim chance of showers overnight.

The sky stays sunny on Wednesday. The highs will be in the lower 80s in Cleveland and the mid 80s in the Akron area. Temperatures stay in the upper 60s overnight, with the possibility of showers after 3 a.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely across northeast Ohio on Thursday, with highs in the lower 80s. The stormy weather will last into the evening, with night lows in the mid-1960s.

Friday looks very pleasant, with highs at 78 in Cleveland and 76 in Akron. The sky will be clear day and night, with night lows in the upper 50’s in Cleveland and mid-50’s in Akron.

At the weekend mostly sunny skies are expected, with highs in the lower 80s. There are light showers in the Akron area on Sunday.
