BLACKSBURG, VA. – The Virginia Tech Hokies rallied to score in the ninth inning and walked away in the sophomore year Nick Biddison on the plate to get the 3-2 win over the Toledo Rockets on Saturday.
Sophomore Graham Firoved (3: 0) won the bullpen for Virginia Tech (26: 17). The right-hander ran out 1.1 innings while giving up a hit, allowing a step, and hitting four. Junior Anthony Simonelli also made an impact on the hill for the Hokies, kicking the ball game and throwing 7.2 innings, giving up two runs, all of which were earned with three hits, three walks and eight strikeouts.
