COVID-19 vaccination update for businesses: vaccination centers for dispensing
May 5th and 19th, 2021
As a continuation of our COVID-19 vaccination update series for companies, you will have the opportunity on May 5th and 19th to find out about open and closed vaccination stations (PODs) and their benefits for your company and your employees. This series is a partnership between the Toledo Chamber, the Employers’ Association, the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department and the VProject to help vaccinate and educate our region so that we can get back to business as usual after the COVID-19 pandemic .
On May 5th, the speakers Brandon Palinski, MPH-VPH, Planning and Quality Improvement Administrator, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, will join them. As always with our Drivers Ed series, young professionals entering C-suite and owner roles learn from one another and share best practices and expertise as they nurture each other and prepare for the growth of their unique business. This class is only offered to members of the Toledo Chamber. In this class you have the opportunity to be both a speaker and a class member! On May 6, Andy Hudak, Investment Advisor Representative for TransAmerica Financial Advisors, Inc., will present attendees with a roadmap for company retirement plans and employee retention strategies.

Great Lakes Hyperloop, an Institute Series presentationMay 12, 2021
This brand new series of institutes is an extension of the Institute for Leadership & Advocacy course at the Toledo Chamber. Each session in this series will focus on a topic of significant business importance in the Toledo area and you can be a part of it. On May 12th, learn more about the exciting Hyperloop project of the Great Lakes and the changes it will bring to the Toledo region. This project will have the potential to bring travelers and visitors from Toledo to Pittsburgh, Chicago and Cleveland in minutes rather than hours, and offers a multitude of opportunities for our tourism industry and workforce. You’ll hear from the moderators at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Chuck Michael, head of US feasibility studies, and Shelby Phillips, head of US public affairs.
