Teen shot in Cleveland, police trying to find clues

A 17-year-old man was found on Sunday afternoon near Beach Ave. and shot down Vine Street. Police originally believed the shooting took place near Samuel Wiley and Church streets in Cleveland.

Darrel Broussard, Cleveland police chief, said the teen was shot in the head and was being flown to a trauma center in Houston. Its condition is unknown.

The circumstances that led to the shootings are also unknown, Broussard said.

“The alleged shooter was a witness
He got out of a burgundy or maroon SUV and ran towards the victim’s car with a gun. The shooter started shooting the gun at the windshield on the driver’s side of the victim and hit the driver in the head, ”Broussard said.

The police are working to identify a suspect. Broussard asks the public for information in order to identify a suspect.
