CLEVELAND – Residents and visitors alike have another way to explore Cleveland with the new LINK e-scooters, available Thursday.
The first 400 silver and yellow vehicles were deployed in the city-designated parking lots on Thursday, with a focus on inter-city access and connection to the RTA.
The rides cost $ 1 to unlock the scooter, plus 32 cents per minute. To ride a LINK scooter, you can download the LINK mobile app from your iOS or Android device and use the app to find a scooter and scan its QR code.

“Cleveland residents, visitors and commuters will have access to the smartest, safest scooter in the industry starting today,” said William Knapp, VP of Operations at Superpedestrian. “We look forward to serving the people of Cleveland as we work with city guides and community partners to educate drivers about safety while providing sustainable and affordable transportation for all.”
Cleveland is the second city in Ohio after Columbus received the LINK scooters. In early July, the City of Cleveland approved Superpedestrian’s selection, making it the city’s newest e-scooter provider.
The rules of the road
- No driving on sidewalks
- Always drive in the direction of travel
- Stop for pedestrians, red traffic lights and STOP sign
- Use bike paths if available
- Only people over the age of 18 are allowed to ride
- Helmets are highly recommended
- Park appropriately in designated parking zones
- For your safety, do not drink or drive
