BLACKSBURG, Va .– Freshman Carson Jones rallied five RBIs to propel the Virginia Tech Hokies over the Toledo Rockets on Sunday 16-5.

Junior Shane Connolly (2-2) took the bullpen win for Virginia Tech (27-17). The South Paw ran out three innings while giving up a hit, not allowing walks, and hitting three. Sophomore Chris Gerard also made an impact on the hill for the Hokies by starting the ball game and throwing two goalless innings while allowing a one-step, four-throw hit.

In addition to his five RBIs for the Hokies, Jones went home with a 3 versus 6 senior Tanner Thomas Also, put together a notable day on the plate and go 1: 1 with a double, three walks, and two RBIs. Sophomore Kevin Madden also helped Virginia Tech by putting three hits in three rides on the plate and adding three RBIs.
