CLEVELAND, Ohio – Federal agents Thursday arrested three men wanted by Cleveland in connection with various crimes, including rape and murder.
Anthony Billups, 43, was arrested Thursday morning on the East Side by members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force from an apartment on Block 7800 on Woodland Avenue in the Kinsman neighborhood. Billups is accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old child, according to the US Marshals Service.
25-year-old Charles Trammell was wanted by police in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old man on November 17, 2020. Zay’Veontae Sherman Jones died of multiple gunshot wounds in the shooting near East 102nd Street and Hampden Avenue in the Glenville neighborhood.
Task Force members arrested Trammell near Block 4600 on Walford Avenue in Warrensville Heights.
Avant Williams, 20, is accused of shooting three times at another man on July 19 at 10100 block on Dunlap Avenue in Union-Miles Park on the East Side. The victim survived the shooting, and Williams was wanted for assault.
On Thursday afternoon, Williams was arrested while sitting in a car in the parking lot of a grocery store near the intersection of East 260th Street and Knuth Avenue in Euclid. According to the Marshals Service, two firearms were confiscated from the vehicle.
