CLEVELAND – Cleveland’s annual Pierogi Dash returned in 2021 and on Saturday morning runners took to the streets of Slavic Village for 3 miles and a tasty treat.

The race started at Daisys Ice Cream and the course went through Ward 12 and ended where it started.

Together with a T-shirt and the racing package, the runners received “Pierogi Bucks” worth two Pierogi at Daisys Ice Cream.

But the events on Saturday weren’t the end of the annual race.

For those not quite ready to run in a crowd, the Pierogi Dash is running a virtual race through Sunday, where runners choose a 5K goal of their choice.

Prizes will be awarded for the fastest goal, the farthest runner (for virtual runners not near Cleveland) and the best costume, which can be submitted on Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag # pierogidash2021.
