YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police have confirmed the 18th murder of the year in the city.
It happened on Thursday night around 8:40 p.m. on the 400 block of Almyra Avenue.
Upon arrival, police said they saw a 34-year-old man shot dead on the street.

According to the police, the man was driving a scooter with a passenger when he was shot.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The woman had no injuries.
This is the 77th person shot this year, 98 were shot last year. There were also 28 homicides last year.
Youngstown Police are investigating the incident.
