CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati Police Department officers gathered with parishioners in Avondale Friday for a “Stop the Violence” event.

The event took place in the Family Dollar parking lot on Reading Road, the same place a 16-year-old boy was shot in a drive-by Last month.
Gavelon Beauchamp was crossing Reading Road when a car sneaked up and four teenagers shot him in the head, according to police.
The four teenage suspects were arrested in this week.
Beauchamp’s death is far from the only violence in Avondale this summer.
A series of shootings led to a SWAT base End of June.
Two weeks later became a 21-year-old man killed on Lossing Street.
