Bengali quarterback Joe Burrow is recovering from left knee reconstruction surgery, but expectations for the former number 1 are still high.
The 24-year-old showed his potential in 10 games during his rookie campaign before losing the title ACL and MCL in his left knee against Washington.
He completed 65.3% of his passes for 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Peter Schrager, an analyst for the NFL network, has identified Burrow as a dark horse candidate to take the biggest leap forward in 2021.
“I don’t want us to forget how good Joe Burrow was when he started his career in Cincinnati,” said Schrager-head with Baker Mayfield, going throw after throw and being hit like no tomorrow behind a shaky offensive line … me think Burrow has it all and he has a gift that can only bloom more. “
Burrow’s rehab seems to be going well. He hopes to be back on the field by the beginning of the 2021 season.
