YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Greater Friendship Baptist Church pastor told First News on Sunday that someone tried to break into his church late Friday night.
Nothing was stolen from the church, but the suspect broke the side door and left the church to replace it.
“I told members today that the glass might be broken, but our faith was not broken. We’ll still push and move on. I think if this is a group of people, reach out to me on Facebook and let’s talk about this, ”said Pastor James Bowie.
Pastor Bowie says this is the fifth act of vandalism in the church since 2018.
Youngstown police are currently investigating suspects.
