YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – IUPUI men’s tennis lost its start in the Horizon League 5-2 to Youngstown State on Saturday (March 27).
The Jaguars earned their two points with two wins in three sets to end the game against the Penguins. Alex Jochim earned a win at No. 1 Singles with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win. In the single game No. 6 Eric Hollingsworth got a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win.
Youngstown State took the colon with wins in 1st place (6-4) and 2nd place (7-5). Colton Morehart and Blessings benibo were 6-5 in the No. 3 doubles match when the game ended.
In the remainder of the single game, Youngstown State scored three straight wins, and in Game # 4, Morehart was the last in three sets, falling 6-4, 6-7, 5-10.
IUPUI and Youngstown State will be back to play on Sunday, March 28th at 1pm
