Who’re Cincinnati’s high women lacrosse gamers to look at in 2021?

Barring a 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Greater Cincinnati’s girls lacrosse teams will be on the field on March 19 for their first season in two years.

Lots of current players. Second year or freshmen students in 2019 will lead their cadres. Here’s a rundown of some of the prep players you should see this spring.

Girls Greater Catholic League

Carly Bailiff, Ursuline Academy, midfielder – She had 33 goals and 56 draw controls in 2019.

Aly Prasinos, Ursuline, midfielder – Was named captain as a junior after playing in 13 games with a sophomore goal.

Quinn Cramer, Ursuline, midfield / attack – In her third season with Lions, she scored 16 goals in her sophomore year.

Jane Streicher, Seton, midfield – She had 73 draw controls with 35 goals in 2019.

Lilly McSwigan, Seton, attack – She had 33 goals and 29 ground balls in 2019.

Greater Miami Conference

Kennedy Manning, Lakota West, goalkeeper – Manning led the GMC in parades at 197 in its sophomore year. She signed up to play for Coastal Carolina.

Maddie Saylor, Lakota West, attacks – Saylor had 19 goals in five assists as a newcomer in 2019.

Morgan Wehby, Lakota West attack – As a junior, Wehby had scored 17 goals as a freshman.

Marissa Meyer, Fairfield, attack / midfield In addition to her wrestling talents, which saw her finishing second in the state competition this winter, Meyer had 46 goals, 25 assists and 125 top-in-state draw controls for the Indians. in the second year. Meyer is directed to the United States Naval Academy.

Sydney Minick, Mason, midfield – As a junior, she had 58 draw controls as a novice.

Carly Wilhoite, Loveland, midfield – She had 83 draw controls two years ago.

Kara Spritzky, Turpin, attack – She had 13 goals and 22 assists as a freshman

Claire Klimkowski, Turpin, midfield – As a junior, she had 17 draw controls with six goals in 2019.

Bailey Fronk, Turpin, midfield / attack – She had eight goals in 2019

Abby Hardewig, Turpin, defense attorney – She’s supposed to be Turpin’s top defender.

Gabrielle Vernon, Walnut Hills, midfielder – She had 37 goals and 67 ground balls in 2019.

Brooke Beattie, Kings, midfield – She led the ECC with 17 interceptions in 2019 and generated 47 sales.

Cincinnati Hills League

Marley Megowen, Mariemont, midfield – Megowen had 42 goals, 63 draw controls and 63 generated sales for a Mariemont team that made it to the semi-finals of Division II.

Abbie Lyons, Mariemont, midfield – She had 21 goals and 12 assists in the semi-finals.

Sophia Toman, Mariemont, midfield – She had 37 goals and 48 draw controls in 2019.

Victoria Chesson, Wyoming, midfield – As a junior, she had 23 goals and 93 draw controls for the Cowboys two seasons ago.

Meredith Bornholdt, Wyoming, Defense Counsel – She had 47 ground balls, nine caused sales, and five interceptions in 2019.

Maria Lindberg, Indian Hill, goalkeeper – She had 127 parades in 2019.

Miami Valley Conference

Alexis Veldhuis, Seven Hills, midfield – As a newcomer to 2019, she had 48 goals, 55 draw controls and 55 generated turnovers.

Caroline Routh, Seven Hills, attack – She had 25 goals and 19 assists in 2019.

Mollie Wilkowski, CHCA, midfield – She had 31 goals and 32 draw controls two years ago as a newbie.

Olivia Andry, CHCA, Defense Counsel – As a junior, she had 13 assists and 29 groundballs in 2019.

Olivia Hahn, CHCA, midfielder – The current junior had 18 goals, 14 assists, 36 groundballs, 25 draw controls and 12 generated sales in 2019.

Sophie O’Brien, Cincinnati Country Day, goalkeeper – She will play at the University of Cincinnati on Cincinnati Country Day after graduation.

The state lacrosse semi-finals will take place from June 1st to 3rd of this year. The state championship games will be played on June 5th. A location for the state tournament has not yet been determined. For the past few years it has been at Ohio Wesleyan University.
