YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Joy C. Heidinger, 75, of Youngstown passed away Sunday afternoon March 14, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown.

Joy was born on March 12, 1946 in Youngstown to Howard Cecil and Winifred (Sigel) Robinette.

She was a graduate of the Austintown Fitch High School class of 1964.

Joy, a loving woman, mother, grandmother, was a flower designer with many local florists in Youngstown.

She was a member of the Ohltown United Methodist Church, a member of the Red Hat Society, and a US Girl Scout volunteer for over 40 years.

Her husband Charles E. Heidinger, whom she married on November 25, 1967, died on January 11, 2021.

Joy leaves behind two children, Nicholas (Mindy) Heidinger from Mineral Ridge and Brenda Heidinger from Youngstown, two grandchildren Rileigh and Samantha from Mineral Ridge, a sister Marcella Sabol from Austintown, a brother Harry (Tammie) Robinette von Stow, a brother lawyer Richard Heidinger from Poland, a sister-in-law Andrea (Bill) Foulk from Akron. Joy also leaves four nieces, three nephews, seven great nieces, and six great nephews, and a large extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, a sister, Dorothy and her husband Bob Robertson, and a brother-in-law, John Sabol, died before Joy.

A joint memorial service celebrating the lives of both Joy and Charles will be held later this spring.
