Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz information for re-election

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – It’s official Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz is once again pursuing the top spot in the city.

On Wednesday, he filed his petition and put his case on for another four years.

The mayor says the past three and a half years have used him for another four.

It was no coincidence that Mayor Kapszukiewicz’s mayor prelude took place in front of a newly paved street. His push for an additional tax levy last year created the money for it.

“The simplest thing would have been to simply open up so many streets with the means we had and try them out,” said Mayor Kapszukiewicz.

The city will pave the streets 17 times over the past year and that is a huge feat that the incumbent is promoting. The economic development of how Amazon comes to Southwyck is different. Toledo was also named number one for cities of its size in terms of business investment.

“I think the leadership style I brought with me was calm, professional and competent,” said Mayor Kapszukiewicz.

Kapszukiewicz also highlighted the increased number of police officers. He also oversaw the city when it hit a record number of murders last year. The mayor says gun violence is not just a Toledo problem.

“I don’t think you can look at this situation and separate it from the fact that it is a problem across the country. It’s easy. But that doesn’t mean that we’re happy with it here in Toledo. That doesn’t mean that we are satisfied or that we have no work to do, ”said Kapszukiewicz.

He hopes the voters will give him 4 more years to do it.
