TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo woman is dead after being hit by a car while walking her dog Tuesday night in Bedford Township, Michigan.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Pamela Sue Kimmins, 64, was walking east on Lewis Avenue at around 9:18 p.m. when she was hit by a car driven by a 54-year-old Toledo man. Kimmins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver is currently not disclosed. He was not injured in the crash.
The investigation into the crash continues. It is currently not known whether excessive speed and / or intoxicating substances contributed to the accident.
