COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Tuesday night a single-family home in east Columbus was damaged by fire.
The fire is reported in a two-story apartment building on the 500 block on Fairwood Avenue. It was reported around 9:18 p.m.
According to Columbus Fire Battalion chief Steve Martin, no one was home at the time and no casualties were reported.
Martin said the house was fully involved when the fire department arrived, but the fire department was quick to contain it.
There was a partial collapse of the front wall, Martin said.
The cause of the fire is not known.
