YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Goodwill donates children’s books to local teachers to help them get a head start on returning to school.

Books are being distributed in the Goodwill Industries building behind the store on Belmont Avenue.

Pandemic leads to changes in the training of future teachers

There is a wide variety of books to choose from.

Teachers can take up to 20 books with them for free.

The books were all donated by people in the community. Goodwill is excited to put the community support back into the local teachers.

“Everyone is working really hard to prepare for the upcoming school year, so we wanted to do something positive to give back to the community. We wanted to show our support for the teachers and provide books for the children in the classroom, ”said Alyssa Italiano, Director of Marketing and Business Services.

The book raffle will take place on weekdays until August 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Teachers must present a valid teacher ID to receive the books.
