Jamiro Monteiro scored a goal in the 24th minute and the Philadelphia Union held on Saturday night at a meeting of the 2020 silver medalists for a 1-0 win over visiting Columbus Crew SC.
It only took Andre Blake two saves to defend his sixth goal of the season, but that included late 1v1 thinking from Marlon Hairston at close range.
The Union even returned on points with the win, while Orlando finished second in the Eastern Conference while expanding their unbeaten streak to seven games.
Philadelphia also won for the first time in its last five tries against the crew, who saw their winning streak break in three games.
