The Mayor of Toledo, Wade Kapszukiewicz, and the Interim President of the University of Toledo, Dr. Gregory Postel, will host a virtual press conference on Thursday, January 14th at 10am to review details of this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day to discuss.

The City of Toledo Human Relations Commission and the University of Toledo will host the annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. co-host starting Monday, January 18, 10 a.m. The event takes place virtually. The public can watch this link or on Facebook Live,facebook.com/cityoftoledo. The event will have a keynote speaker Austin Channing Brown.

The press conference will be broadcast live on the City of Toledo Facebook site.

Media representatives are asked to enter their names and companies when entering the Zoom webinar. They remain muted until the question and answer period. At this point, media members will be asked to use the raise hands feature to alert the Zoom host that he or she would like to ask a question. The Zoom host calls the media organizations one after the other in the order in which they each asked for recognition. The journalist is not muted to ask questions. A moderator announces the name of the journalist and the media organization.
