Kahlil Seren must be Cleveland Heights’ first elected mayor

Kahlil Seren is authentic and has integrity. He was to be the first elected mayor of Cleveland Heights.

At a recent event, Seren thoughtfully answered questions about climate justice, racial justice and more – from the fair distribution of street sweepers to the expansion of wind energy and the obstacles and ways to implement it.

Seren wants every community in the Heights to be accessible. This means a beautiful destination that’s within walking distance of any home, he says, and that requires attention to Noble and Severance, among other things. Green space, intelligent development. Different from today.

Seren worked at Policy Matters Ohio and still works for the Cuyahoga County Council. On the Cleveland Heights City Council, he went from concerned citizen to councilor to vice president and built a reputation as a person of intelligence, dedication, and hard work.

I’ve heard other candidates speak, and none have come close to understanding problems and solutions or experience and commitment to Cleveland Heights like Seren.

Seren is backed by The Plain Dealer / cleveland.com, Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, North Shore AFL-CIO, Our Revolution Ohio, Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council, and others.

On September 14th, Seren is the clear and best choice for the mayor as we turn to the November general election.
