GM to take a position $75M in Toledo Transmission

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – General Motors is reported to make a significant investment in Toledo’s auto industry in 2021. According to an internal letter from the management of Toledo Transmission and United Auto Workers Local 14, the automaker has announced a $ 75 million investment in Toledo Transmission for the coming year. According to the letter, this investment is intended to increase the plant’s capacity for full-size 10-speed truck transmissions, which include the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

This investment joins you previous investment of $ 39 million from GM to the factory that was primarily intended to upgrade the eight-speed rear-wheel drive transmission.

“These commitments not only reflect trust in the TTO team, but also show our employees’ sense of responsibility and pride in the gearboxes we build in Toledo,” the letter said.
