Every NFL team’s helmet is now in downtown Cleveland prior to the 2021 NFL draft.

As of Friday, we’re now less than four weeks from the 2021 NFL draft. And downtown Cleveland is starting to see the part.

In Mall C just off Lakeside Ave. E can now find giant replicas of all the helmets made by the 32 NFL team with a view of FirstEnergy Stadium. The Pepsi-sponsored helmets have previously been exhibited in various locations around the country, including previous NFL draft sites and the Super Bowl. They are designed to “give fans the opportunity to safely interact with their favorite team”.
Fans who take photos of or with the helmets are encouraged to tag the @nfldraft account and use the hashtags #PepsiNFLHelmets and #NFLDraft.
Last month, The NFL officially announced its plans to host its draft in downtown Cleveland after holding last year’s draft – originally planned in Las Vegas – practically due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This year’s draft is a three-day event and will take place in three historic downtown Cleveland locations: FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Great Lakes Science Center. The main stage of the design is against the backdrop of Lake Erie outside of FirstEnergy Stadium. Additionally, a select number of prospects will take the stage in Cleveland, with fans, media, NFL Network, ESPN and ABC crews also on site.
“We are excited to travel to Cleveland for the NFL Draft, which has become one of the most anticipated events in the sport,” said Peter O’Reilly, executive vice president of NFL, Club Business & League Events, in a press release. “Just months after holding a safe and successful Super Bowl LV, we look forward to bringing fans closer to the excitement of our draft traditions in partnership with the Browns, Destination Cleveland, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, the City of Cleveland and all of our locals to bring Cleveland partners. “
The 2021 NFL draft will take place April 29 through May 1.
