CLEVELAND (WJW) – During this ongoing period of struggle for so many Northeast Ohioans, a downtown Cleveland church teamed up with a local radio station to raise food donations for the needy on Sunday afternoon.

The Old Stone Church in Public Square works with 95.5 The Fish to support the Cleveland-based Hunger Network, which works with more than 70 organizations in the area.
The downtown event is completely contactless and people are asked to pull up in their cars on the Ontario Street side of the church building, where a volunteer will collect donations. Everyone is asked to wear a mask.
Anyone can return non-perishable items to the church until 2 p.m.

“I urge all of our Clevelanders to come out and support our brothers and sisters in need and show them that we are here to support them through the darkest times of their lives,” said Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald, said interim senior pastor in a statement. “The last two years have been tough for everyone. Our Food Drive is just an opportunity to directly meet the serious need for basic help in our community. “
