The NFL on Wednesday released the names of the first 10 players who received invitations to participate in the 2021 NFL draft in Cleveland.
While quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the suspected number 1 under Clemson, plans to enjoy the home celebrations with family and friends, the following players will be in town when the draft opens on April 29th. according to NFL.com::
- Florida close end to Kyle Pitt
- Louisiana State wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase
- Alabama quarterback Mac Jones
- North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance
- Alabama Wide Receiver DeVonta Smith
- Alabama Corner Patrick Surtain II
- Virginia Tech Corner kick Caleb Farley
- Miami defensive end Greg Rousseau
- Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons
- Alabama Defensive Tackle Christian Barmore
In the past few years, some of the players on the list got their names from the Browns in front of hometown fans because the Browns picked at or near the top of the first round. But with Cleveland slated to rank 26th in the opening round, you can take advantage of that opportunity from many of them.
The most likely candidates, based on numerous sham drafts, appear to be Rousseau, Parsons, and Barmore.
The NFL draft for 2021 begins April 29 with the first round at 8 p.m. Rounds two and three will take place on April 30th, starting at 7 p.m. Rounds four to seven will take place on May 1st from 12 noon
This weekend’s events will take place in a variety of locations across downtown Cleveland, including FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Great Lakes Science Center.

- There was an “inner circle” of fans selected by each of the 32 teams. These fans have a front row seat on the NFL Draft Main Stage.
- Headlining acts perform on the main stage every day, inspired by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
- The NFL Draft Experience is a free and public event that takes place on all three days at FirstEnergy Stadium.
- Part of the fan experience allows fans to step onto the pitch at FirstEnergy Stadium and score a field goal, take personalized digital photos, run the 40 yard line and jump against players on LED screens Super bowl ring the doorbell and take a photo with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
