The Bengals might choose to field just four players in the start of the season position, especially if they feel like one or two of the secondary players can step in at times if necessary.

That means Wilson, ADG, Pratt, and Jordan Evans all get away with it unless someone shockingly beats Evans on special teams. Bailey and Bachie are really fascinating long-term names, but location just isn’t important enough for guys to hide in hopes of discovering something in a couple of years. It’s the now-or-never mode for the young guys positioned to see the most snaps, and the team needs the roster seats elsewhere.
