Although SideStep enjoyed entertaining the crowds across northeastern Nebraska and beyond, including during the induction ceremony, their signature country / rock sound has evolved over time. They started out with a country focus, but over the years they have played everything from corporate parties and wedding receptions to festivals, street dances and private parties which inspired them to expand their catalog.

“Classic rock ‘n’ roll, classic and current country, pop, we do a little bit of everything except rap. I don’t know any rap music, ”said Cattau with a laugh. “We knew this particular group before we even got together. We knew the talent was there, so we knew we could achieve success together. “
Robbins repeated that feeling and found that the band members just love to play together and have great chemistry on stage. That’s why they played together all these years.
“We just feed each other. We are really blessed with the talent we have, ”said Robbins. “It’s nice to be recognized, but at the end of the day we just go out, make music and have fun. They try to spread as much joy as possible. I’m not a fan of awards or accolades, you never expect something like that. “
Built a reputation for being one of the finest bands in Nebraska, SideStep has traveled the state and country performing at festivals, fairs, and more. Cattau said that they are all grateful to their families for their constant support so that they can pursue their passion of making music.
