Bonner, Margaret Marie (Cleveland) –


Margaret Marie Bonner, 92, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to her heavenly home at a local health facility on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Delis and Bertha Gaylor and was also preceded by her husband, EJ Bonner; Son Jimmy D. Chase; Brothers Everett Gaylor and his wife Avis and James Gaylor; and many lifelong friends.

Margaret loved her family and her Lord and Savior, and she was a lifelong member of Big Springs Baptist Church where she was very active teaching Sunday School and Summer Bible School. She enjoyed her many years as a member of The Eastern Star where she was very active and held many offices. She was also a Red Cross volunteer as a gray lady at Bradley Memorial Hospital and was also employed by Advances Photographic Solutions. She loved people and especially loved her family.

She is survived by her grandchildren Felicia Chase Vaughn, Mark Chase, and his wife, Mechele Kelly Chase Goins, who was her caregiver for many years. eight great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepson Lesley Bonner and his wife Violet; Stiefenkel, Danny Bonner Todd Bonner and his wife Paula, Mark Tallent and Lisa Maddux and her husband Stephen; together with several stepchildren and a special nephew and his wife Robert and Shirley Gaylor.

A Life Service Remembrance will be held at North Ocoee Street Chapel by Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Richard Mason and Big Springs Baptist Church Secretary of Music Tom Wilkes. The funeral will take place in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID concerns, it will be private.

The family thanks the staff at Signature Healthcare for their many years of support.

The family is asking for donations to be made in Margaret’s memory of their Big Springs Baptist Church here in Cleveland instead of flowers.
