After making an attempt to flee, impaired Cleveland driver arrested with medicine: Parma Police Blotter

Drunk Driving, Brookpark Road: During a traffic stop for a Toyota Highlander on Jan.

Finally the Cleveland driver stopped. When talking to the man, the officer suspected that he was impaired.

After failing a field sobriety test, he was charged with OVI. The driver was also in possession of drugs. The man was charged with fleeing and drug abuse.

Substance Abuse, Chestnut Hills Drive: Police discovered a Chardon resident was in the possession of suspected drugs of the crime during a June 17 traffic inspection of a Chevy Impala for a device violation.

The man was arrested for substance abuse.

Escape, Brookpark Road: On June 18, police were dispatched to a shop on Brookpark Road because of a disturbance.

An arriving officer located the suspect, who fled the scene on a motorcycle. The police are investigating.

Vehicle theft, Ridge Road: On June 18, police were dispatched to an address on Ridge Road for a vehicle theft.

An arriving official spoke to the resident, who said an acquaintance is suspected of not returning his Chevy Equinox. The police are investigating.

Fraud, Fruitland Drive: On June 18th, police were sent to a Fruitland Drive home on a fraud report.

An arriving official spoke to a resident who said an 18-year-old man used her credit card without permission. The Parma resident was charged with fraud.

Gun crime, Broadview Road: On June 19, police were sent to a bar on Broadview Road for a brawl.

An arriving officer located the suspects. A Cleveland man and a Parma resident were arrested. The former was also charged with possession of a weapon.

Fraud, W. Ridgewood Drive: On June 18, police were sent to an address on W. Ridgewood Drive after a local woman discovered that she had not only lost her wallet but that someone had used her credit cards fraudulently.

There are no suspects. The police are investigating.

Cheated, Orchard Avenue: On June 22nd, a resident of Orchard Avenue discovered she was the victim of an online scam. There are no suspects. The police are investigating.
