AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A blast from the past. Ursuline will meet Fitch for the third year of their streak after a 12 year hiatus. The two schools have been in the same conference – the Steel Valley Conference – for over 30 years.
Now two of the top programs not only meet in the region, but also in the state of Ohio for Game of the Week on Friday.

McElroy, Ursuline run wild in hickory
-This is Ursuline’s third street game in a row in a four-game set that will culminate in Harding next week. The Irishman led District 10 3A defending champions Hickory, 50-7, before losing last week. DeMarcus McElroy scored four times in her contest with the Hornets and won over 200 yards on the ground.
–The Irish people have won six of the last eight games.
-Stahltal over. Fitch was one of seven schools that organized the Steel Valley Conference in the spring of 1949. 23 years later, Ursuline joined the conference. In 2002 Fitch retired to join the Bundesliga. With the rebirth of SVC, Ursuline was one of four schools to start playing in 2019.
