Youngstown mayoral candidate Julius Oliver connects with voters at downtown occasion


He wanted the public to know why he wanted to run for office

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown mayoral candidate and councilor Julius Oliver held a meet and greet on Friday.

He wanted the public to know why he wanted to run for office. Oliver also had voter registration forms to encourage people to go out and vote.

He wants people to know he grew up in the same neighborhood and wants to use some of his councilor experience to help.

“I fought for them all the time I was in that council seat. I brought them to the table. I left her in the chair with me and I was that voice that said, “Hey, we need to focus on Ms. Johnson’s neighborhood or Ms. Jones’ over here” because that was what it took to be ready ” said Oliver.

Oliver held the event at the Federal in downtown Youngstown.
