Columbus State University remains one of the leading public and regional universities in the South in the annual US News & World Report rankings published today.

The publication’s ranking for 2022 shows that the CSU ranks 35th among the best public regional universities in the south. The ranking takes into account factors such as tuition fees, graduation rates, and faculty resources. The university is also ranked 74th in the overall list of “Best Regional Universities in the South”.

“Our presence on US News’ Best Colleges list is a testament to our faculties and staff’s commitment to promoting creativity and rethinking education by discovering new ways to connect with our students and them to inspire, “said CSU President Chris Markwood.

“Equally important to our success is the excellent collaboration between the CSU and our partners in the community, industry and human resource development,” added Markwood. “Their insights enrich our students’ learning in the classroom, and the experience they offer our students through internships and the like distinguishes our students after graduation.”

As a southern regional university, the CSU was ranked 46th among the Top Performers on Social Mobility, one position more than in the previous year. The social mobility ranking measures how well schools graduated that have received state Pell grants. Pell Grant recipients typically come from households with family incomes less than $ 50,000 per year.

Columbus State offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degrees, including nationally recognized programs in the arts, education, business, and nursing. In all programs and majors, Columbus State’s curriculum is based on academic excellence and creativity. Students are challenged to rethink, convert ideas into innovations, and build careers for today’s global economy. The CSU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, bachelor, master, and educational specialist degrees, as well as a doctorate.
