Expect another windy and humid day with a mix of sun and clouds, but more cloud cover in southeast Ohio where the humidity will increase at low levels.
Some widespread late afternoon showers and storms will develop closer to a frontal boundary in northwest Ohio and deeper moisture in the northwest. Coverage will be very spotty so most of your outdoor plans will be fine, but keep an eye on the skies north of US 30 and west of I-71 y for pop-up storms.
Temperatures will be very warm, with highs of almost 90, coupled with high humidity that will push the heat index to the low 90s.
A sustained corridor of heavy rain and thunderstorms from St. Louis to Indianapolis, Toledo and Detroit has resulted in repeated showers and storms concentrating along an almost stationary frontal zone blocked to the east by a Bermuda high.
A series of low pressure waves will migrate from the southern plains to the Upper Great Lakes, initially moving a frontal boundary a little further north of Lake Erie. This will reduce the chance of rain for several days across Buckeye State.
The weather will be more active next week when the frontal border borders to the east. Episodic showers and storms will result in more cloud cover and a gradual decline in weekday temperatures, with highs dipping back to lows in the mid-1980s.
