Cincinnati Children’s scientists are developing an automated risk assessment system to identify and prevent violence in schools. The system uses artificial intelligence to analyze interviews, identify risk features from student language, and predict violent outcomes. For the development of the technology, the scientists have received a five-year grant totaling 2.8 million US dollars from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
