Police: 16-year-old shot whereas inside north Columbus residence

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police said a 16-year-old was injured after he was shot dead at his home in North Columbus Saturday night.

The officers were sent to the 2200 block on Kilbourne Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. after a shooting report.

Police learned that an unknown suspect shot into the residence from a vehicle and hit the 16-year-old in the left chest. There were shots that hit the house and several cartridge cases that were found in the street.

A bullet grazed the victim, causing a minor injury. He was treated locally by doctors from Clinton Township.

Authorities have recorded a surveillance video of a white limousine with the passenger side window down and a suspect firing shots into the apartment.

This incident is being investigated further.
